What Janos (Marlena's Lover) felt as she died.
You hear/feel a yelp of surprise in your mind from Marlena that becomes a babble of pure terror. You feel her emotions spike in a mixture in a shock of recognition, shock of betrayal and fear. She is fighting for her life and loosing. You sense there is something over her mouth, preventing her from screaming. A gunshot seems to echo in your head as you feel the pain of claws ripping into Marlena's side.
It is happening so fast. She is overwhelmed and helpless. You sense her struggle to move and then get an impression of tentacles wrapping about her, suckers latching onto her skin. There is pain. Suddenly, there is the realization that 'This is it.' She is truly facing her final death. She reaches for you through the bond, with all that she has left, and her last coherent thought, "I love you, Janos." echoes in your mind as you feel the last shreds of her soul ripped from her body.
Then, there is a dark, empty silence where Marlena's presence once was.

Marlena's body. As you look upon this scene of death, you notice Marlena's gun has been dropped to her right side and it has been fired. Clutched in a deathgrip, in her left hand, is a bloodied knife that has a bit of matted golden blond hair or fur stuck to it. You see that her abdomen has been clawed open and there is a lot of blood on the ground.
As you look closer, examining her face, you see a couple of things that shock you. Where her mouth once was, is now a smeared mass of flesh, looking as if someone melted her mouth into her face. Then you see her eyes. They are pure white and rolled back into her head.
That is when you notice the angry looking circular sucker marks on her arms, face and chest.
There is no doubt about it, Marlena Whittaker fought hard against something, and with all her training, died within seconds. Who or what could have done this to her and why?
