As You all know, we began the new campaign in the Month of Fireseek, CY 656. Some 74 years after the start of the Greyhawk wars. Which ended around CY 584 or there abouts, Historians are still debating this. Our intrepid band adventured for approximately one year before the events at Bestien's Towers and the subsequent war that followed after the fall of the strong hold and the Ambush and anilation of the Nyrondese Northern Army. These events and others started around Sunsebb CY 657.
While things were falling apart in Nyrond. Over a thousand Miles to the west in the great Cassandrae Empire at almost the same time. A Series of Events were about to unfold that would almost destroy the Empire and plunge that whole part of Greyhawk into a massive series of wars of Revolution, religious and Civil war:
1. 15th of SunSebb CY 657, A great council was called by the newly return Lord Ta-Mar. To be held in the South/East part of the Vesve Forest near the Clan Strong-hold of Feador of the Clan Feadiel. Emperor Damon 1st, Prelate Kearsarge both of the Cassandrae Empire, Along with all the Ranking members of the High Council of Clan Masters. Were requested to attend, However both Prelate Kearsarge and Lord Bright Sword of the Red Arrow Clan were unable to attend but they both send their representatives to the meeting. At this meeting a Terrible event occurred that resulted in the distruction of a large area of the Vesve Forest.( Now known as the Defiled Glades).
Rumors abound about what occurred at that meeting before the Cataclysm, some believe Lord Ta-Mar was demonstrating a new Magical Devise and something went terribly wrong, still others believe that his Nephew Delbruk had brought some Magical devise to the meeting and set it off. But what the Majority of the rumors state is that Emperor Damon brought with him or he sent for or was sent to him. His High Lord Chamberlain Keagan Viker, and that On his arrival Lord Ta-Mar Immediately attacked him and the resulting Magical duel caused the distruction.. This day is noted by the Elves of the Vesve Forest as the Day Of The Great Betrayal.
2. Iuz seeing these two events as a chance to finish off his enemies in one blow. Ordered his Armies to an all out attack on both fronts. This occurred on or around the 20th of Fireseek CY 658. Historians all agree that the fact that Iuz began his attack in Winter and the slowness of his initial attack were the main reasons of the failure of his achieving his objectives in the Second Great War.
3. The second great War ends on or around the 2nd of Wealsun in CY 662. Both sides have bled each other white and a new Truce/Treaty is signed in the city of Greyhawk on the 12th of Reaping CY 662. The only real loser in the war is Nyrond, having lost the entire area of it's country known as:The North Lands.
4. Prelate Kearsarge Dies on the 12th of Patchwall in the year CY 659. He was the last Elf Friend of human blood that was still alive. No Humans are allowed past the gates of Highfolk on the road to the Vesve Forest from then on.
It is now the 27th of Sunsebb in the year CY 684. A full One- hundred years after the first Great War and Twenty-two years after the 2nd Great War. The adventurers are all from the city or areas of Brotton in the County of Urnst. * Note the County of Urnst still enjoys good relations with both the Cassandrea Empire and the Free City of Greyhawk. Also they have strong diplomatic and trading ties with the Vesve Forest.
485 (apprx.) - Beginning of the Baklunish-Suloise Wars.
466 - First employment of humanoid mercenaries in those wars.
458 - Oerid invasions beyond western mountains commence.
447 - Suloise migrations beyond western mountains commence.
422 - Invoked Devastation and Rain of Colorless Fire strike Suel and Bakluni lands.
400 - Two centuries of Suel/Oeridian battles for control of the central Flaness begin, Suel progressively banished to the margins of the lands.
217 - Founding of the Kingdom of Aerdy is a proclamation of the supremacy of the Oeridians.
1 - Overking crowned in Rauxes; frontiers of the Great Kingdom extend west to Modern-day Greyhawk City and beyond.
100 - Viceroyalty of Furyondy established.
254 - Thrommel 1 of the Kingdom of Furyondy crowned in Dyvers; Veluna, Tenh, and Perrenland also become independent.
300-350 - Bandit Kingdoms formed.
310-360 - Shield Lands become increasingly unified.
320 - Northern Nomads first reported and documented.
356 - Nyrond established; Kingdom of Keoland at peak, entering its imperialist phase; Theocracy of the Pale and Urnst states become independent.
438 - The Small War (Keoland vs. Furyondy/Veluna); in the aftermath, Keolandish Satellites (Bissel, Gran March, Yeomanry) become increasingly independent.
446 - Ivid 1 ascends the Malachite Throne in Raxuses. Iron League formed. North and South Provinces secede from Great Kingdom.
479 - Iuz begins conquest of petty fiefs north of Furyondy.
498 - Greyhawk becomes a Free City. Country of Urnst becomes Palatinate under the Duchy of Urnst.
507 - Iuz imprisoned beneath Castle Greyhawk.
513 - Humanoid invasions of the Pomarj overrun the land. Rise of the Horned Society.
563 - Bone March falls to humanoids.
569 - Temple of Elemental Evil in the Gnarley Forest is sacked by the forces of Good.
570 - Iuz freed from imprisonment in Castle Greyhawk.
573 - Scarlet Brotherhood first reported; Prince of Furyondy and Provost of Veluna disappear.
578 - Naval forces of the Great Kingdom and Nyrond skirmish in Relmor Bay;
582-584 - The Greyhawk Wars
585 - Truce Treaty Signed in Free City of Greyhawk.
635 - Sul Kingdom is established, Damon 1 crowned King.
636 - Tusmit, Eckbir,Alakbar and Northern Nomad Provinces secede from Sul Kingdom. Duke Kearsarge of Eckbir and Tusmit named as head of Islamic republic.
637 - Sul Kingdom becomes the Cassandrea Empire secessionist provinces rejoin Damon 1 crowned Emperor by Supreme Prelate Kearsarge.
657-658 - Nyrondese Northern Army is ambushed and anilated in the Phost Forest. Large area of the Vesve Forest is destroyed (Defiled Glades) Killing many well known leaders. (Day of Great Betrayal).
658 - Iuz sends Armies south, beginning of Second Greyhawk War.
659 - Prelate Kearsarge dies he is the last elf friend with human blood.
662 - Second Greyhawk war ends Truce again signed in Greyhawk City. Nyrond loses control of The North Lands.
684 - Current year for Bob's (Greyhawk North Kingdom) Campaign.
699 - Dark One is released from under ground prison by Dwarvin miners digging a tunnel between Tusmit and Perrenland.
711 - Dark One Organizes Dwarves and becomes their new Supreme leader.
722 - Dark One infiltrates Cassandrea Empire and becomes Emperor
723 - Cassandrea Empire Declares war on the Vesve Forest because of it's Isolationist policies.
724 - Vesve Forest Destroyed 75% of Elvin population Killed, the rest are scattered Cassandrea loses 35% of it's population.
725 - Cassandrea Emperor orders full conscription to replenish loses from Vesve Forest War. Then turns his attention to Iuz.
726 - Cassandrea invades Iuz (Third and Final Greyhawk War).
730 - War ends after both Supreme Leaders kill each other on the Battle field.
731-780 - The Dark Times; Iuz and the Cassandrea Empires both collapse, Small wars and famines roam the land 65% of western Greyhawk population dies. birth rate drops petty War lords rule most of the land.
781 - Current year for Howard's Mayak campaign.
