The Calling
by
Eden Blackthorn
From an ancient need,
Something Dark Calls to me.
From an ancient deed,
I hear You Calling me.
Something in the night, awakens me from sleep.
Something from within, something dark and deep.
I hear the Call and know not what to do.
I am drawn to it, drawn to You.
Something has come, something from within.
Something beyond time, beyond mortal sin.
I hear the Call and move to the stair.
I am frightened. I know You're there.
From an ancient night,
Something Dark Calls to me.
From an ancient rite,
I hear You Calling me.
Something waits as I come to the door.
Something is there, just one step more.
I hear the Call and obey Your demand.
I am for You, Yours to command.
Something snares me, with an entrancing gaze.
Something of passion, I see His eyes blaze.
I hear the Call and know I am lost
I go to You. I know the cost.
From an ancient time,
Something Dark Calls to me.
From an ancient rhyme,
I hear You Calling me.
Something has captured me whole
Something claims my body, my soul.
I hear the Call and know what I must do.
I must surrender myself, yield to You.
Something awakens my mind, my memory, my thought.
Something gives me what, I've always sought.
I hear the Call and know it's true.
I know the Dark, is within me, too.
From an ancient race,
Something Dark Calls to me.
From an ancient place,
I hear You Calling me.
I am that Something, from the dark and the deep.
You have awoken me, from my everlasting sleep.
I hear Your Call, and revel in the sweet sound.
Together we are One, forever we are Bound.
From an ancient need,
Something Dark Calls to me.
From an ancient deed,
I hear You Calling me.
