Dearest Jane,
Where to begin... I don't know. So very much has happened. I guess the only way to go is in order.
First, the unholy trinity is gone. Yes. Gregor, Anja and the Monsignor are no longer in charge of Aragon. The five or six months that they were here, torturing us, amounted to not much more than an Elder game between the Monsignor and the siblings. A one dollar bet on who would win the 'fight' between them. Apparently, they have been playing this -game- for the last 600 years.
The Archon, Etienne Rouge, appeared to tell everyone that HE had asked the trinity to make sure that the Court of Aragon was in 'fighting shape' as the whole area is under siege by both Anarch and Sabbat. He complimented everyone but warned of a stiff fight ahead.
With the trinity gone, I moved quickly to set up the power structure with Tommy Wong as Prince, Brigette Marchand as Seneschal, keeping William Masters, Hilario Mendez and Sgrubb as Sheriff, Keeper and Scourge,
respectively. Prince Wong immediately named me as his sole Primogen. The court structure seems to have settled in nicely. I am pleased at that.
Then, came word - Sacramento and San Jose had been taken by Sabbat. Oakland was hotly contested. San Francisco has closed its borders to all. Thus, leaving Aragon the only open Camarilla territory in the Greater Bay area. That caused Prince Wong to put us into a state of martial law. So far, we have held ourselves well but we all know that this is only the beginning.
In and around there, Booker was found, rescued and sent to Vienna for healing. Zacharie was finally returned to us. I'm really glad for that. I was feeling very much alone without members of my clan to really support me. I don't count Justin because he was rarely around and he's now in San Francisco. However, we have recently gained three more clan mates. Fortunately for me, I had chosen the new Chantry with that in mind. There's room enough for us all.
Speaking of the Chantry, it is looking much better. Security is in place and I am figuring out the positions for our Clan mates. Two of them are looking very much like security buffs while the third is much more like myself - a true mage. Zacharie, of course, falls in-between the two extremes.
So, that's where I am now - new Chantry, new Prince, new Clan mates and a new position of power. All seems well but I have no doubt that this is nothing more than the calm before the storm. Now is the time to fortify all havens and to make sure all allies are taken care off.
I can only hope that you are doing well, dear sister. Until next time.
Love,
Kayley
