Dearest Jane,
I cannot believe I am saying this but this last month has been boring. At least, in a local news sense. The biggest story has been the opening of an IKEA store in this area. I never thought that the States could be more boring than Ireland. The only interesting thing about that IKEA store, to me, is the rumor that it is sitting on top of an old Indian burial ground and many devout Japanese people will not buy from there because they are afraid the local spirits have been angered. This, of course, does not stop the Americans from spending money there like it is going out of style... which I am sure it will do in a few years.
In the meantime, I shall content myself with my much more favored old-fashioned cherry wood desk and other such classic furnishings. I have finally received the last of my library from Ireland and finally unpacked it all. It feels good to have my books around me - much like having old friends about. Speaking of which, I need to find a couple of manuscripts on ancient Druidic history for Frank to borrow. I am sure he will have some interesting insights. We may not always agree on what we are discussing, but we always enjoy the conversation.
Personally, this has been a good month for me. I have made a breakthrough in understanding one of the magical theories I am studying. It has allowed to advance my experiments that much further. Also, I have advanced further in my study of Thaumaturgy and learned another, very useful, ritual. Personal advancement is always a good goal. One should strive to hone one's abilities to perfection. Once you have learn an expert level in one thing, it is time to learn something new. This world is too big to not always be learning or striving for something more.
Until next time.
Love,
Kayley
