Dear Jane,
I met the most interesting kindred tonight. His name is Filip Acier. I believe he is Toreador. At least, he fits the Toreador stereotype - nicely dressed, good manners and owns an art gallery. Of course, this means I should immediately dismiss that notion. But, in all honesty, I really do not care. Either you are Tremere or you are not. That is what matters to me.
In any case, I was invited to the opening of a gallery in Pleasant Hill. It is a nice little place showcasing the various talents of local sculptors. I actually decided to purchase a small set of marble fairies for the garden. They are of a stunning pale green marble with an interesting strain of gold shot through the stone. Quite beautiful, really.
While I was there, I met a number of people interested in the arts. Filip Acier noticed the small Celtic brooch I was wearing and correctly identified it as a piece from the 17th Century, Ireland. It was a gift to me from John. I am sure you remember it. As we continued to speak, we both realized that the other was Kindred and the conversation grew that much more interesting.
Seems that Filip owns an exclusive art gallery with some very special and obscure pieces of artwork. How he procures them, I do not know and am too polite to ask. Frankly, I do not want to know. He has told me that he has several pieces in his collection that he believes will turn my head and he has invited me to an exclusive party where he will be showing off his latest acquistions. The party will be on the 31st. I have already accepted the invitation.
I am sure it will prove to be an interesting evening. Though, I really wish you could be there with me. I am sure we would have so much fun.
Love,
Kayley
